Happy Halloween

Aunt Katerina and Baby Madeleine

Aunt Katerina and Baby Madeleine are visiting right now and she sure knows how to win Colin's heart. With Colin next to her she pulled out all these toys. Penguins and Hotwheels! Colin's Favorites! :) Baby Madeleine is a cutie, she's just a month younger than Emily.

Cancun

It's been raining off and on since we got to Cancun. Today we went to the spa, shopped and swam with the dolphins. Wow FinishLine.com really goes all out when it comes to their partners.

Cancun

I arrived in Cancun today and miss my babies! Colin is having a great time with his cousins and Emily's doing great with my mom. Trang and I are staying at the Le Blanc Spa and Resort and it is absolutely amazing! We even have our own butler (I need a butler to take home, he even irons). Tonight we had dinner with Finish Line and now we are free to do whatever until we go home. See you soon.

Baby Penguin

This year Emily is going to be a Baby Penguin for Halloween. I was very excited when I found the costume but when it arrived it was way too big for Emily. Luckily my friend Monika is amazing and she fixed the costume so it would fit and added yellow feet and beak. It's so adorable. Thanks Monika!

Target

Yesterday we took Colin to Target and with his $2 he bought a Hotwheels car for himself and a pumpkin trick or treat bag for Emily.

Point Loma

Our Point Loma house is currently in escrow and will close in a few days. The other day we were taking the last of the items out and Colin was not happy about it. He did not want us to sell the house. He really loves the elevator and the fruit trees. Before we left he rode the elevator one last time and picked a bunch of lemons and wanted to take all of them home but we needed to leave some for the new owner. Bye Bye Point Loma....We have a new home in Encinitas.

Pumpkin Patch

Colin missed his field trip to the pumpkin patch on Friday because his allergies were horrible. When he came down for breakfast that morning he said nas he was coughing and his nose was running, "Mommy I don't feel very well." So he spent the day with Emily and Grandma. Max brought over Colin's pumpkin after school and Colin can't wait to carve it.

Bobcat

We see bobcats in the fields next to us (separated by a concrete wall) oocassionally but this one was right across the street from us where the contractor stores his equipment. I heard they are harmless, but I don't think I want to encounter one.

Emma's Birthday

Emma's Birthday

Happy 4th Birthday Emma!

Today is Emma's Birthday...Happy Birthday Princess! We spent the weekend at Disneyland and ate lunch with the princesses. The kids had a great time and were sad when it was time to leave.

Power Rangers

The girls and Colin played Power Rangers over the weekend and had a blast.

Emily's Stats

Everyone keeps asking me how big Emily is, here are some stats from her 4 month visit: She's 25 inches long and 12 pounds 3 3/4 ounces.

Yummy Apples

Today Emily ate apples for the first time and I could not feed her fast enough! Yum! Yum!

Hannah

Hannah started out being a little jealous of Emily since Hannah has always been the baby. But now she adores Emily. Hannah was so proud of herself when she got to hold her and didn't want to let go.

Who Does Emily Look Like?

So, my mother in law Dianne thinks Emily looks like her. Mike created a picture of Emily that looks like Dianne. Do you know which one is my gorgeous baby girl and which one is the fake? :P

More Penguins

Today Colin came home from school with 2 penguin figures from Max. He said Max bought them for him because Colin loves penguins. Max is such a sweetie!

Lauren and Baby Colin

The other day I was looking at Colin's old pictures and trying to compare his baby pictures with Emily's. Here are two great videos I found of Lauren and Colin.

The Girls

The girls (Lauren, Emma and Hannah) will be coming down today and Colin is so excited. He wants to play, play, play! He also wants to show Cau Bao (my brother) some of his new self defense moves and his weapons training. I think he wants to take Cau Bao down.

Bà ngoại

Last night Colin was eating dinner and talking about his Bà ngoại (grandma in Vietnamese). All of the sudden he starts to tear up and I asked him what's wrong. He said, "I really miss Bà ngoại!" Colin loves his Bà ngoại and especially her cooking.

Orange Belt

Today Colin got his Orange Belt. This was the most challenging belt test, since he had to break a board with an ax kick. He finally did it. I asked Colin why he it took him awhile to break the board, since I know he has a strong ax kick. Colin said, "Mommy I didn't want to bleed." He did a great job and Emily was excited watching her big brother yell "HiYa!"

Penguins

Colin loves penguins. He sleeps with his Chubby Cheeks every night. Today while Emily was taking a nap he got dressed up in his Halloween costume and waddled around. It was too cute.

Colin and Max

This was posted in Colin's PK class blog:

I can't believe he's grown up so much in the last year.

Summer 2008

All summer Colin and Emily had their cousins Lauren, Emma and Hannah keeping them company. Colin LOVES spending time with the girls. Emma learned how to swim, Colin learned to backstroke, Hannah just loves the water, and Lauren is still an amazing swimmer. Our days were spent in the pool, at the beach, SeaWorld and at Disneyland. Colin was very sad to see the girls and my mom leave. Luckily LA is not far and my mom will be out in 2 weeks.
